Acyclovir Cream

Acyclovir cream is a topical prescription medication. It is used to treat cold sores on the lips or face. It can also treat shingles and chickenpox. It is sometimes used to treat genital herpes. These infections are caused by the herpes zoster and herpes simplex viruses.

Acyclovir cream is an antiviral medication. It works by stopping the virus. It has a high affinity on thymidine kinase enzyme which helps convert acyclovir further. Doing this can slow down the growth of the virus and prevents it from multiplying. This reduces the severity of the infections and prevents the infection from spreading to other parts of the body.

Why Buy Acyclovir cream?

Acyclovir cream can effectively reduce pain caused by sores. It can speed up the healing of sores and decrease symptoms like itching, tingling and burning. Acyclovir cream is the oldest antiviral medication available since 1982 on the market. It is suitable for adult, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women.

The generic Acyclovir cream is an inexpensive topical medication. It’s slightly more popular than other topical medications of its kind due to its cheaper price. Acyclovir cream is also available as brand name Zovirax. The effectiveness of both brand and generic names are the same.

How to Take Acyclovir cream?

Apply Acyclovir cream on the skin 5 days in a day for 4 days. Use it during a cold sore outbreak. However, it’s best to apply at the beginning of the outbreak when there is redness, tingling and itching but the sore has not yet formed.

When using the cream, wash your hands and clean and dry the affected area. Apply a liberal amount to cover the skin where there are sores. Rub the cream gently until the cream disappears. Leave the skin uncovered.
