The Prevacid tablet should not be crushed or chewed. Prevacid should not be taken before meals. The dose of Prevacid should be adjusted in severe hepatic impairment. The dose of Prevacid need not be adjusted in elderly and in patients with renal impairment. This drug is not recommended in infants below the age of 1. Not advisable to consume Lansoprazole during pregnancy and lactation.

In triple therapy with amoxicillin and clarithromycin the dose of Prevacid is 30mg twice daily for 7-14 days. The recommended oral dose for adolescents (1-17 of age) is 15-30 mg once daily for up to 8 weeks.
