Clonidine

Clonidine is an anti-hypertensive drug used alone or along with other medications to treat high blood pressure. Untreated and uncontrolled high blood pressure can cause damages to the blood vessels in the heart, brain and kidney. High blood pressure may also increase the risk of heart attack and other cardiovascular diseases.

Clonidine is a centrally-acting antihypertensive drug. It helps lower the blood pressure by stimulating the alpha receptors in the brain. Clonidine helps reduces the nerve signals being sent by the brain to the blood vessels which causes the blood vessels to contract and narrow. As a result, the blood vessels relax and widen increasing the space for blood to flow thus decreasing the blood pressure. Doctors usually prescribe Clonidine as an additional treatment if other blood pressure lowering medications won’t work.

Why Buy Clonidine?

Clonidine is FDA-approved for the treatment of high blood pressure or hypertension since 1966. It is one of the most prescribed blood pressure lowering drugs in the US. Clonidine is also used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, menopausal flushing and drug withdrawal ad certain pain condition.

How to Take Clonidine?

Clonidine comes in a tablet form that you need to take by mouth. The number of tablet you’ll take depends on your condition and well the medicine works in reducing your blood pressure.  The typical dose is two tablets in a day at an evenly spaced interval. Take Clonidine at around the same time each day. Do not take more than what is recommended to you by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Continue taking Clonidine even if you feel well. An abrupt stop can cause a rapid rise in your blood pressure. If you wish to stop or change your medication, talk to your doctor. Your doctor will probably decrease your dose for over 2 to 7 days.
