How to take Propranolol HCTZ?

Propranolol/HCTZ is an oral medicine in the form of pills. It is available in strengths (i) 40/25 mg (ii) 80/25 mg.

     Adult Dosage.

  1. Initial Dose- 40 mg/25mg two times in a day.
  2. Maximum dose- 160 mg/50 mg in a day.
  • Your dosage may depend on the following;
  • Your blood pressure.
  • Previous medication that you have used.
  • Your response to the treatment.

Comments: –

-Follow your doctor’s instructions.

-Another anti-hypertensive agent may be added if needed.

-Withdraw gradually over a period of about 2 weeks.

-Safety and efficacy are not established for children younger than 18 years.

-Take the drug 4 hours prior to the bedtime to avoid to wake up for Urinate
