Levosiz

Levosiz is a prescription medication it’s active ingredient is levocetirizine. It is an antihistamine that helps reduces the effects of histamine, a natural chemical in the body that causes an allergic reaction when it reacts to an allergen. Levosiz is prescribed to treat the symptoms of:

• Year-round allergies (perennial) and seasonal in children at least 6 months old
• Swelling and itching due to chronic urticaria or hives in children at least 6 months old. Symptoms of hives may include swollen, itchy skin with red patches.

The typical dose for adult ages 18 to 64 years of age is 5mg once a day. Take it in the evening before bedtime. The usual dose for children 12 to 17 years of age is 5mg before bedtime. Children ages 6 to 11 years old should take 2.5mg once a day.

Always take this medication exactly as directed by your physician. Take the medication orally with a glass of water. Do not take more than what is recommended or longer than the required duration.
