Linezolid is a prescription drug used to treat bacterial infections like:

Linezolid is an antibiotic that belongs to the group known as oxazolidinones. It can only treat a specific sub-group of bacteria called Gram-positive bacteria. Things to Remember

• Avoid consuming a large amount of drinks and foods that contain high levels of amino acid tyramine as this can make your blood pressure go up.
• This medication can decrease your blood cells which can result in anemia, make you more susceptible to infections and blood clotting problems.
• If you experience severe diarrhea, changes in vision while taking Linezolid, consult your doctor.
• You can take Linezolid for longer than 28 days, for these reasons, have a regular eye checkup as this can cause changes in your vision.
