How to use Azelastine?
Azelastinecomes in a nasal spray that is sprayed in each nostril one to two times a day. Usethe medication exactly as directed. Do not use more than what is prescribed orlonger than the prescribed duration. The number of sprays you take each day isbased on the following:
Therecommended dose is 1 to 2 sprays per nostril for adults and adolescentspatients. For children 5 to 11 years of age, the recommended dose is one sprayper nostril a day. For children 2 to 5 years of age, the dose is one spray pernostril each day. Azelastine is not recommended for children 2 years of age andyounger.
Adultpatients 12 years of age and older with vasomotor rhinitis should spray twotimes per nostril a day.
